The mountains of the Khao Yai region

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Arrive Slowly.

The journey to Jagerhaus is the first part of your stay. As Bangkok gradually gives way to open countryside and the mountains of Khao Yai begin to appear on the horizon, life starts to slow down.  The roads become quieter.  The air feels fresher.  The pace changes almost without you noticing. By the time you arrive, you'll already feel a long way from the city.

FROM BANGKOK

By car or by train.

By Car — Around 3½ Hours

The drive from Bangkok is straightforward and entirely on paved roads. Follow Highway 1 north before joining Route 2 (Mittraphap Road) towards Pak Chong. After booking, we'll send detailed directions together with a Google Maps pin to guide you the rest of the way. The journey is suitable for any type of car and is one of the easiest ways to experience the changing landscape as you leave the city behind.

By Train — Around 3 Hours

Travelling by train is one of the most relaxing ways to arrive. Regular services run from Krung Thep Aphiwat Station to Pak Chong throughout the day. If you'd prefer not to drive, we're happy to arrange collection from the station—simply let us know your arrival time when you book.

WHAT TO BRING

Pack to Relax.

Just bring whatever helps you feel most relaxed. We recommend:  Comfortable shoes for exploring the estate.  A light jumper for cooler evenings between November and February.  Your favourite playlist - we'll provide the speaker.  A good book you're finally ready to finish.  Everything else can wait until you get home.

BEFORE YOU ASK

The questions we hear the most.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3:00 pm, with check-out by 11:00 am.

Can we bring children?

Absolutely. Children often discover things adults have forgotten how to enjoy. Watching the JagerTok wander past. Collecting eggs. Exploring the gardens. Simply spending the day outdoors. We simply ask that children are supervised around the ponds and throughout the estate.

Is Jagerhaus Pet Friendly?

Very much so. Well-behaved four-legged guests are always welcome, and we look forward to welcoming them just as warmly as everyone else.

What about food?

Every stay includes a freshly prepared Thai breakfast, lovingly made by Tum and delivered directly to your house each morning.BBQ and Mookata can be pre-ordered before your arrival, together with a selection of drinks, allowing you to enjoy relaxed evenings without leaving the estate. Every house also has its own kitchen, while Pak Chong's markets, cafés and restaurants are only a short drive away should you wish to explore the local area.

Do we need a car?

A car makes exploring Khao Yai easier, but guests do arrive by train and simply stay on the farm - which, in many ways, is exactly the point.

Ready when you are.

Tell us when you'd like to escape to Jagerhaus and we will handle the rest.
